Technology Stack & Products

We offer a full spectrum of solar PV technologies to suit different project needs. Our manufacturing encompasses the latest cell architecture and module designs:

{site_name} – {page_title} – Image

Advanced Cell Technologies

We produce solar cells using cutting-edge designs including N-type TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) cells for high efficiency and low degradation, HJT (Heterojunction) cells known for superior temperature performance, IBC (Interdigitated Back Contact) cells for maximum energy yield, as well as high-volume PERC cells for balanced cost and efficiency. By leveraging multiple cell technologies, we can optimize for the best solution in each project – whether it’s maximizing efficiency, lowering cost per watt, or improving low-light performance. We manufacture both bifacial cells/modules (to capture sunlight on both sides for greater yield) and monofacial modules as needed, giving clients flexibility in design. Our R&D and production teams continuously evaluate new cell innovations to stay at the forefront of solar tech.

Advanced Selenium Interlayer Technology (R&D)

Through our Centauri R&D division (in partnership with NASA), we are developing a breakthrough selenium interlayer bonding technology for next-generation solar cells. Originally pioneered by NASA for space applications, this technology allows us to bond high-efficiency III–V semiconductor solar cells to silicon wafers using a thin selenium layer. The result is a multi-junction cell with unprecedented efficiency and durability: by combining III–V top cells with a silicon bottom cell, this architecture can achieve conversion efficiencies well above 30% (potentially 40%+), far exceeding conventional single-junction cells. The Centauri program is actively commercializing this technology for both terrestrial and space use, meaning future Energy America modules could reach ~38% efficiency levels in production. This NASA-backed innovation underscores our commitment to pushing the envelope of PV performance and gives our partners early access to game-changing solar products

Module Range and Performance

Our module product lineup ranges from robust 400 W panels up to ultra-high-output 780 W panels, covering applications from small commercial roofs to large utility-scale farms. Current monofacial and bifacial module series achieve efficiencies from about 19% up to ~38% on our latest prototypes, offering industry-leading performance for any project class. Each module is engineered for reliability in diverse climates. We have proven bifacial panels optimized for high-albedo environments (snow fields, desert sand), ruggedized modules with extra UV and sand resistance for desert installations, anti-corrosion coated frames and glass for coastal salt-mist areas, and reinforced designs for heavy snow and wind loads. Our panels are tested to perform in extreme conditions – from equatorial humidity to high-altitude cold – ensuring stable output over decades. This breadth of technologies and designs allows us to deliver the ideal solar module solution for virtually any environment or use-case.

Compliance and Certifications

Quality, safety, and regulatory compliance are core to our manufacturing mission. We adhere to international standards and local requirements to give stakeholders full confidence in our products:

IRA and FEOC Compliance

Energy America is fully compliant with the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provisions for solar manufacturing. Our Los Angeles plant and supply chain meet domestic content and procurement requirements, so customers can maximize federal tax credits and avoid penalties. We have also structured our operations to avoid any Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) issues – meaning our company and products are eligible for U.S. government projects and funding programs. We actively monitor trade regulations and have a robust compliance program (ITAR, EAR, FCPA, etc.) to ensure none of our key components or ownership structures jeopardize project incentives or approvals. For our clients and government partners, this translates into bankable, sanction-compliant hardware ready for deployment.

Global Standards & Certifications

All our factories maintain ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) certifications, underscoring our commitment to consistent quality and eco-friendly operations. Every module design undergoes rigorous testing and certification to meet IEC international standards – including IEC 61215 (long-term performance) and IEC 61730 (safety) – as well as regional certifications (such as CE and UL where applicable). We partner with leading independent labs like TÜV Rheinland and others to validate our panels’ durability (thermal cycling, humidity/freeze, PID resistance, etc.) before mass production. Our manufacturing process itself is audited and quality-controlled, yielding products that exceed industry benchmarks for reliability. These certifications and third-party validations give investors and customers peace of mind that our solar modules will perform safely and as expected over their lifespan. Energy America also complies with OSHA/OHSAS health and safety standards for our workforce, and we follow applicable national standards in each country of operation. From factory floor to field installation, our focus on compliance ensures no compromises in quality or safety.

Sustainability Leadership

Sustainability is at the heart of EA-Global’s manufacturing philosophy. We recognize that how we build solar panels is just as important as the clean energy they produce. Our sustainability initiatives include:

{site_name} – {page_title} – Image

Low-Carbon Manufacturing

We strive to minimize the carbon footprint of our solar production. Several of our facilities are partially powered by renewable energy (including on-site solar arrays and green power procurement), reducing reliance on fossil fuels. We also source key inputs like polysilicon and aluminum from suppliers with low-carbon processes when possible, cutting embodied emissions in our panels. Our European factories, for example, leverage cleaner grids to lower CO₂ per watt of output. Across all sites, we invest in energy-efficient equipment, waste heat recovery, and process optimizations to drive down energy use. As a result, Energy America panels are among the lowest in carbon footprint in their class – a value-add for customers seeking ultra-low-carbon solar solutions.

Recyclable Module Design

We design our products with their full lifecycle in mind. Our modules are built mostly from recyclable materials – approximately 85% of a typical PV module (glass, aluminum, and silicon) can be recovered and reused. We use high-quality aluminum frames and standard silicon cells (no toxic cadmium or lead-based technologies in our lineup) to simplify end-of-life processing. We have initiated a “design for recycling” program that evaluates alternative encapsulants and glues to make future disassembly easier. Additionally, we partner with solar recycling firms in key markets to ensure our products are recycled responsibly when decommissioned. By enabling a circular economy for solar, we help maximize the environmental benefits of our modules and reduce waste.

ESG Goals & Transparency

Energy America has robust ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) commitments. We publish annual sustainability reports disclosing our carbon footprint, energy usage, and progress toward emissions targets. Our goal is to achieve carbon-neutral manufacturing operations by 2030, and we’re steadily reducing greenhouse gas emissions per unit produced each year. We also enforce strict ethical and environmental standards across our supply chain (e.g. conflict-free minerals, fair labor practices). For investors and government stakeholders, we provide full transparency into our manufacturing practices and audits, ensuring compliance with global initiatives like RE100 and Science Based Targets. We have clear ESG metrics and KPIs in place – from water usage and waste reduction in our factories, to diversity and safety metrics for our workforce – and we integrate these goals into management performance. In short, we don’t just manufacture solar panels; we do so in a way that aligns with a sustainable future, reinforcing the positive impact of solar energy.
